Questions and answers about POWERPAY

  • As soon as you have activated POWERPAY via Payrexx, your customers can easily select this payment option in your checkout. They then have to enter various details so that POWERPAY can check them and then send them the corresponding invoice.

This information specifically includes: first name, surname, street and number, zip code, town/city, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth.

POWERPAY carries out a security check on your buyers in the background and in real time. If they do not pass this check, they may have to carry out two-factor authentication. To do this, they receive a code via SMS, which they must then enter in your checkout.

  • POWERPAY distinguishes between single invoices and monthly invoices.

The payment term for individual invoices is 14 days, followed by the monthly invoice, which must be paid within 30 days. This means that the first reminder for non-payment is sent after 45 days at the earliest - the most customer-friendly reminder process in Switzerland.

  • If your customers have not paid their invoice after 45 days, they will receive a first reminder.

However, as a retailer, you are not involved in this process. You will receive your money anyway and are therefore completely exempt from the risk of default.

  • Activating POWERPAY with Payrexx is quick and easy. You do not need any programming knowledge.

In your Payrexx account, simply go to Payment providers > Manual payment providers > POWERPAY > Configure and then follow the steps shown. If you already have a POWERPAY account, you can connect it directly. Otherwise, you can create a new account directly via Payrexx.

Once you have successfully activated POWERPAY, this payment method is automatically integrated into your payment gateway and can be selected and used by your customers during their purchase.

  • POWERPAY currently only serves Switzerland. This means that this payment option is currently only available for Swiss buyers and merchants.

  • POWERPAY offers you complete security of payment receipt: Regardless of whether your buyers pay their amount later, in installments or not at all - you receive your money directly from POWERPAY. This means that the company bears the entire risk for you.

The standard POWERPAY payout interval is monthly. However, shorter payouts can be requested.

  • The exact costs of POWERPAY for you as a merchant:inn depend heavily on your company and your minimum annual turnover.

The standard fees are 0.90 % with a minimum annual turnover of CHF 100,000.

There are also the Payrexx fees. These depend on your plan and can be viewed on the pricing page.

  • Both Payrexx and POWERPAY have the highest security standards to process your transactions with as little risk as possible.

Specifically, Payrexx has the following security precautions:

    • Personal data, both yours and that of your customers, is stored on secure Swiss servers in compliance with the GDPR.

    • Payrexx is fully PCI DSS Level 1 certified. This is the highest global standard for payment data, developed in cooperation with several credit card organizations.

    • To ensure secure data transmission, Payrexx uses encryption protocols such as SLL (Secure Socket Layer) with 256-bit encryption.

    • The 3-D Secure process strengthens online payments with additional identification, minimizes fraud risks and chargebacks and ensures maximum security and customer authentication.

POWERPAY, in turn, takes care of your customers' identification in real time and thus ensures that the address and name match. If necessary, buyers must also carry out two-factor authentication via smartphone. POWERPAY also assumes the risk of non-payment.
