The Discover® Network increases its acceptance in Switzerland
In collaboration with Payrexx, an established Swiss payment provider, the Discover® Network is expanding its acceptance in Switzerland, allowing cardholders to shop with over 6,000 Payrexx-Comerciante.

The Discover Network offers its customers global reach: The payment network headquartered in the USA provides its cardholders acceptance in over 200 countries and regions. It is considered the fastest growing global payment network in the world*. And thanks to Payrexx, this acceptance is now increasing in Switzerland.
The payment provider based in Thun is firmly anchored in the Swiss market. Over 60,000 Comerciante worldwide trust Payrexx — including large corporations as well as local SMEs, non-profit organizations, and start-ups. The Discover Network will use this foundation as a springboard to further establish itself in Switzerland.

It includes well-known options such as Diners Club International® and Discover Card, as well as strategic alliances with over 25 national systems like Troy from Turkey, Elo from Brazil, and RuPay from India. With the support of Payrexx, Swiss Comerciante now have access to this strong global market.

The Discover Network offers online Comerciante numerous benefits: They gain access to a new global customer base, which increases their reach and indirectly boosts sales. Comerciante also benefit from the loyalty that Discover Network users are known for. At the same time, they can offer their buyers more flexibility in payment options.
The integration of the Discover Network into Payrexx's software is a multi-stage process. In 2024, the new payment method was already activated for 6,000 Comerciante, further roll-outs and improvements are planned for 2025. For Comerciante, this means no additional work or cost: They do not have to do anything and do not pay extra for the additional service. Instead, they immediately benefit from all the advantages of the Discover Network.
