Through the partnership of Payrexx with Samsung, Payrexx users in Switzerland can seamlessly offer mobile payments via Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay is the mobile payment solution for Samsung Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Watch. The app provides worldwide, contactless payments in face-to-face transactions as well as browser-based online and in-app payments in remote transactions with the stored credit, prepaid or debit card.
In recent years, a significant increase in mobile payments has been observed. According to studies, payment via smartphone is becoming increasingly common in stationary as well as online trade and is also expected to become significantly more important in the future. A survey on the preferred payment method for online purchases in Switzerland revealed that 51% of respondents prefer mobile payment.
The first Payrexx Comerciante are already benefiting from the mobile payment solution
The availability of Samsung Pay is meeting with great interest among Payrexx users. The first 100 Comerciante have already activated the new payment method. Among them is Parking Luzern.
The website of Parking Luzern offers various possibilities around parking in the city of Lucerne. Not only can all available parking garages and their occupancy be viewed, but a comprehensive range of different parking options is also provided. To facilitate online payments for the “Luzern Park Card”, Parking Luzern relies on the payment solution from Payrexx, which offers the most common payment methods, including Samsung Pay, from a single source.
“Providing the most popular payment methods not only facilitates the purchase process but also makes it significantly more attractive.”
— Etienne Bucher, Managing Director of Tiefgarage Bahnhofplatz AG, Lucerne.
