Click to Pay with Visa is a gamechanger when it comes to speed in the online payment process: While customers previously were often forced to enter the data of their credit or debit cards laboriously, a one-time registration is now enough. This means customers are automatically recognised at checkout and can simply select the stored cards and pay directly – all in just a few clicks.

A simplicity that will also benefit the QR Pay solution of the national payment provider Payrexx in future. Payrexx QR Pay works similarly to what Swiss people already know from TWINT: simply scan the QR code with your mobile phone and pay. However, the Payrexx solution goes one step further. Instead of using only an app, these QR codes can be scanned directly with the smartphone camera and a variety of payment methods can be stored. This makes Payrexx QR Pay flexible to use and particularly attractive for merchants with an international customer base.

The biggest problem with this innovative solution: anyone who previously wanted to pay by credit or debit card via Payrexx QR Pay had to manually type in their card details – a time-consuming hurdle that Payrexx is now overcoming together with Visa. By integrating Click to Pay, registered customers can now also pay quickly and easily by card via QR code.

To establish the improved Payrexx QR Pay solution as effectively as possible among both existing and new merchants, a one-year promotion has been launched together with Visa. As part of this, Payrexx is reducing the transaction costs to a low 1.25 % + 0.00 CHF per payment – for all relevant Swiss payment methods! Because Payrexx QR Pay works not only with Visa, but also with Mastercard, TWINT, Apple Pay and Google Pay. In addition, a further 200 national and international payment methods can be stored, including for example PayPal, Klarna, POWERPAY or Centi.
