The Discover® Global Network increases its acceptance in Switzerland
In cooperation with Payrexx, an established Swiss payment provider, the Discover® Global Network is expanding its acceptance in Switzerland so that cardholders can now make purchases at over 6,000 Payrexx merchants.
The Discover Global Network offers its customers a global reach: The payment network, headquartered in the USA, offers its cardholders acceptance in over 200 countries and regions. It is considered the fastest growing global payment network in the world*. And thanks to Payrexx, this acceptance is now also increasing in Switzerland.
The payment provider based in Thun is firmly anchored in the Swiss market. Over 60,000 merchants worldwide rely on Payrexx - including large companies as well as local SMEs, non-profit organizations and start-ups. The Discover Global Network will use this foundation as a springboard to further establish itself in Switzerland.

The Discover Global Network comprises a wide range of credit and debit cards with over 345 million cardholders** worldwide and a volume of over 589 billion US dollars in 2023. It includes well-known options such as Diners Club International® and Discover Card, as well as strategic alliances with over 25 national schemes such as Troy from Turkey, Elo from Brazil and RuPay from India. With the support of Payrexx, Swiss merchants now have access to this strong global market.

The integration of the Discover Global Network into the Payrexx software is a multi-stage process.
