Payrexx launches POS terminals for on-site payments, thus complementing its online payment solution. The new devices are ideal for small businesses and mobile providers who want to accept payments directly on-site without using a complex cash register system. Whether a pop-up store in Zurich, a stand at the weekly market, or a hair salon without a cash register system – with the Payrexx terminals, card payments can be accepted anywhere.
"Payrexx specifically targets SMEs: The new terminals are ready for immediate use, integrate seamlessly into the Payrexx all-in-one solution, and are supported by our first-level support from Switzerland," explains Ivan Schmid, CEO of Payrexx. "Merchants benefit from transparent conditions and favorable transaction fees. This way, SMEs receive a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution from a single source."
In the initial period, merchants benefit from an exclusive introductory price: Instead of 25 CHF per month, they only pay 9 CHF for the rental of their device in the first year. The transaction fees are 0.95% + 0.15 CHF for payments with debit card, 1.25% + 0.15 CHF for payments with credit cards, and 1.25% for TWINT payments.
What exactly can the Payrexx POS terminal do?
Payrexx offers a total of three different POS terminals:
The Payrexx Nexgo N5 is a colorful all-rounder with an integrated receipt printer, handy design, and long battery life for daily use.
The Payrexx Nexgo N6 is a smaller, more compact terminal in a smartphone look. Due to its size, it is perfect for mobile and flexible use as long as you are not dependent on printed receipts.
The Payrexx Nexgo N86 is the most modern of the three terminals and somewhat larger and more robust than the N5. It also has an integrated receipt printer and particularly powerful software.
All three terminals have integrated SIM cards for mobile network connection. Therefore, merchants are not dependent on WLAN to use the device. The terminals are set up by Payrexx and delivered ready for operation. After switching on, the device is immediately ready for use and accepts debit, credit cards, mobile wallets, and even cryptocurrencies.
Merchants do not need additional software or connection to a cash register system. This makes the terminal particularly practical for everyone who wants to process payments easily and securely.
What does Payrexx aim to achieve with the new product?
For Payrexx, this step is another milestone on the way from a pure e-commerce provider to an omnichannel player. While the company from Thun has so far mainly focused on online retailers, Payrexx now also wants to offer modern solutions for stationary trade.
Already many merchants rely on Tap to Pay and QR Pay from Payrexx. Both solutions are ideal for businesses that only occasionally accept on-site payments and do not need fixed terminals. Tap to Pay is particularly suitable for seasonal businesses or irregular use, while QR Pay is optimal for self-service stands, vending machines, or merchants who want to offer more than the usual payment methods. With the new POS devices, Payrexx now also offers a solution for merchants who want to regularly accept card payments on-site.
The vision is clear: Anyone should be able to do business – whether online or offline, regardless of their experience or financial possibilities. Therefore, Payrexx is specifically committed to smaller companies and develops solutions especially for them. Having started as a start-up in Thun, Payrexx knows the challenges of SMEs well and offers young companies as well as nonprofit organizations special discounts.
