Who and what is WIR?
The WIR clearing system allows you to make cashless payments among WIR participants. Your credit and debit balances are booked directly at Bank WIR's head office in Basel. You are part of a huge WIR network that includes tens of thousands of players, including SMEs and employees from all sectors and parts of Switzerland. Your WIR credit balance is created through loans from Bank WIR.
And that is why the WIR system has a money creation function similar to that of the Swiss National Bank for the Swiss franc. The globally unique WIR system is a useful addition to the established monetary cycle and makes a valuable contribution to a healthy domestic economy. All transactions with WIR take place exclusively in Switzerland.

How can I collect WIR online with Payrexx?
It's simple: enter your customer number in Payrexx and receive WIR payments.

Register with Payrexx
If you do not yet have a Payrexx account, you can register here register free of charge. It only takes a few minutes.
2.
Add WIRpay
You can add WIRpay under Settings > Payment provider > Alternative payment methods.
3.
Customer number and acceptance record
Enter your WIR customer number and the desired WIR acceptance rate. The maximum amount of CHW 5,000 can be increased if required.
How the payment process works with WIRpay

Initiate payment
Select the purpose of payment and the amount and enter your personal details.
2.
Scan QR code
Scan the QR code with the WIRpay app.
3.
Execute payment
Make the payment directly in the WIRpay app.
4.
Complete payment
The payment process is completed and confirmed.
