The Discover® Network increases its acceptance in Switzerland
In cooperation with Payrexx, an established Swiss payment provider, the Discover® Network is expanding its acceptance in Switzerland, allowing cardholders to now shop at over 6,000 Payrexx-Comerciantes.

The payment provider based in Thun is firmly established in the Swiss market. Over 60,000 merchants worldwide trust Payrexx — including large enterprises as well as local SMEs, non-profit organisations and start-ups. It includes well-known options such as Diners Club International® and Discover Card, as well as strategic alliances with more than 25 national schemes such as Troy from Türkiye, Elo from Brazil and RuPay from India. With the support of Payrexx, Swiss merchants now have access to this strong global market.

The Discover Network offers online merchants numerous advantages: they gain access to a new global customer base, which increases their reach and indirectly boosts sales. Merchants also benefit from the loyalty for which Discover Network users are known. At the same time, they can offer their buyers more flexibility in payment options.
The integration of Discover Network into Payrexx's software is a multi-stage process. 2024 saw the new payment method already enabled for 6,000 merchants, with further roll-outs and improvements planned for 2025. For merchants, this means no additional work or cost: they do not have to do anything and do not pay extra for the additional service. Instead, they benefit immediately from all the advantages of Discover Network.
