The Swiss fintech company and payment provider Payrexx AG is facing a leadership change: Anja Traum will become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on 1 January 2026 and is expected to accompany the company through its upcoming expansion phase. The founder and previous CEO Ivan Schmid will remain strategically connected to Payrexx.

The Swiss online trade is booming – this is evidenced by both national studies and figures from Payrexx. The Swiss payment provider recorded a transaction volume of a total of 805.6 million francs in 2024, an increase of 31 percent compared to the previous year.
