Payrexx launches POS terminals for on-site payments, complementing its online payment solution. The new devices are ideal for small shops and mobile providers who want to accept payments directly on-site without using a complex cash register system. Whether it's a pop-up store in Zurich, a stand at the weekly market, or a hair salon without a cash register system – with the Payrexx terminals, card payments can be accepted anywhere.
“Payrexx specifically targets SMEs: The new terminals are ready for immediate use, integrate seamlessly with the Payrexx all-in-one solution, and are supported by our first-level support from Switzerland,” explains Ivan Schmid, CEO of Payrexx. “Comerciantes benefit from transparent terms and low transaction fees. This way, SMEs get a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution from a single source.”
Initially, Comerciantes benefit from an exclusive introductory price: Instead of 25 EUR per month, they pay only 9 EUR for the rental of their device in the first year. The transaction fees are 0.95% + 0.15 EUR for debit card payments, 1.25% + 0.15 EUR for credit card payments, and 1.25% for TWINT payments.
What exactly can the POS terminal from Payrexx do?
Payrexx offers a total of three different POS terminals:
The Payrexx Nexgo N5 is a versatile device with an integrated receipt printer, handy design, and long battery life for daily use.
The Payrexx Nexgo N6 is a smaller, more compact terminal with a smartphone look. Its size makes it perfect for mobile and flexible use, as long as one does not depend on printed receipts.
The Payrexx Nexgo N86 is the most modern of the three terminals and somewhat larger and more robust than the N5. It also has an integrated receipt printer and particularly powerful software.
All three terminals have integrated SIM cards for mobile network connection. Comerciantes are therefore not dependent on WLAN to use the device. The terminals are set up and delivered ready for operation by Payrexx. Once turned on, the device is immediately ready for use and accepts debit and credit cards, mobile wallets, and even cryptocurrencies.
Comerciantes do not need additional software or connection to a cash register system. This makes the terminal particularly practical for anyone who wants to process payments simply and securely.
What does Payrexx want to achieve with the new product?
For Payrexx, this step is another milestone on the way from a pure e-commerce provider to an omnichannel player. While the Thun-based company has previously focused mainly on online Comerciantes, Payrexx now aims to offer modern solutions for brick-and-mortar retail.
Many Comerciantes already rely on Tap to Pay and QR Pay from Payrexx. Both solutions are ideal for businesses that only occasionally accept payments on-site and do not need fixed terminals. Tap to Pay is particularly suitable for seasonal businesses or irregular use, while QR Pay is optimal for self-service stands, vending machines, or Comerciantes who want to offer more than the usual payment methods. With the new POS devices, Payrexx also offers a solution for Comerciantes who regularly want to accept card payments on-site.
The vision is clear: Everyone should be able to trade – whether online or offline and regardless of their experience or financial capabilities. Therefore, Payrexx is committed to smaller companies and develops solutions specifically for them. Having started as a start-up in Thun, Payrexx understands the challenges faced by SMEs and offers young companies and non-profit organizations special discounts.
