eBill
eBill is the Swiss standard for digital invoices sent directly to e-banking. Biller send the invoices digitally, while recipients check and pay them with a single click — without QR code scanning or manual entry.
eBill
eBill is a Swiss system for electronic invoicing directly in e-banking. Unlike the QR-bill (which must be scanned), the eBill invoice automatically appears in the recipient's e-banking. The recipient checks the amount and releases the payment with a single click — no scanning, no typing, no forgetting.
eBill is operated by SIX and supported by more than 100 Swiss banks. For billers, eBill offers higher payment rates (because the recipient does not lose the invoice), faster payment (one click instead of a bank transfer) and lower dunning costs. Recipients can set up standing approvals to pay recurring invoices automatically.
For Comerciantes with recurring invoices (subscriptions, membership fees, insurance, telecom), eBill is particularly attractive. Integration requires a connection to the eBill network — either directly or via a billing partner. eBill is a purely Swiss solution and is not compatible with electronic invoicing standards of other countries.
eBill examples
A telecommunications company sends monthly invoices via eBill. Customers see the invoice in their e-banking and pay with a single click.
An insurance company switches to eBill and reduces its dunning rate by 35% because invoices no longer get lost in the post.
A fitness studio uses eBill for monthly membership fees. Members set up a permanent approval — the payment is made automatically.
eBill FAQ
What is eBill?

eBill is particularly worthwhile for companies with recurring invoices: telecommunications, insurance, energy suppliers, landlords, fitness studios. The higher the invoice volume, the greater the gain in efficiency.
How can I use eBill as an issuer?
You require a connection to the eBill network from SIX — either directly or via a billing partner (e.g. Abacus, Bexio, Run my Accounts). The technical integration is carried out via the eBill infrastructure.
