White-label

White-label refers to a solution that a company offers under its own brand name, even though the technical infrastructure originates from an External provider — in-payment transactions, for example, a white-label PSP solution.

White-label

White-label (also known as a white-label solution) means that a company offers a product or service from an External provider under its own brand name, design and branding. In payment processing, white-labeling enables platforms, marketplaces and SaaS providers to offer complete payment processing under their own brand — without operating the technical infrastructure themselves.

A white-label PSP solution typically includes: payment processing, Comerciante onboarding, KYC, payouts, Dashboard and reporting — all branded to the platform. The end customer or sub-merchant only sees the platform's brand, not the technical operator in the background.

For platform operators, white-labeling offers the advantage of being able to offer their customers a professional payment solution without having to build up their own licenses, compliance infrastructure or technical payment expertise. At the same time, they can define their own transaction fees and earn on the margin between the purchase and sales price.

White-Label Examples

A SaaS platform for restaurateurs offers its customers a payment solution under its own name — in the background, payment processing runs via a white-label PSP.

A marketplace uses a white-label solution: The checkout form, the Dashboard, and the payout reports bear the logo and colors of the marketplace.

A web agency becomes a Payrexx partner and offers its customers payment processing under its own branding — including its own pricing.

White-Label FAQ

What does white label mean in payment processing?

White-label means that a platform or business offers a payment solution under its own brand name, even though the technical infrastructure originates from an External provider (e.g. a PSP).

Who is a white-label payment solution suitable for?

For platforms, marketplaces, SaaS providers and agencies looking to offer payment processing to their clients without building their own payment infrastructure.

What does a white-label PSP solution cost?

Costs vary greatly: Monthly platform fees (starting from approx. EUR 199/month) plus transaction fees at the buy rate are typical. The platform sets the end-customer prices itself and earns from the margin.

Do I need my own license for white-label payments?

Not necessarily. If the white-label PSP handles the regulated payment processing, the platform generally does not need its own FINMA license. The regulatory responsibility lies with the PSP.
