Why is your card reader no longer free of charge?
Your Payrexx terminal was part of a special promotion where the device remains free of charge starting from a certain minimum turnover. Since your turnover in recent months was below this limit, the agreed regulation for continued use now applies.
With your confirmation, you can now continue to use your terminal flexibly for 25 CHF per month – without any interruption to your physical store business.
What exactly are the terms of use for free devices?
The following points apply to Payrexx card readers from a free promotion:
A minimum volume of 2'500 CHF per month must be processed through the device.
If this volume is not reached in 3 consecutive months, Payrexx may request the return of the device.
Alternatively, the device can be rented for a monthly fee of 25 CHF.
How exactly does the billing for the device work?
Billing will start on 1 November 2026. At the end of each year, you will receive an invoice by email, which you can use to settle the total amount for all outstanding months.

Can you still return the device at a later date?
Yes. A minimum contract term of 12 months from the original dispatch date applies to our card readers. After this period, you can terminate the rental at any time, subject to the notice period, and return the device to us. Please contact our support team directly to do this.
What alternatives do you have for accepting payments on-site?
Payrexx offers various flexible solutions for on-site payments:
Tap to Pay: Turns your smartphone directly into a terminal. You accept payments without any additional devices and can also use the function with the free Payrexx plan.
QR Pay: Your customers simply scan a QR code and pay directly (e.g. via TWINT or credit card). Ideal for uncomplicated payments.
Buy a device instead of renting: In addition to the Nexgo N86, we offer other terminals. You can buy the Nexgo N910 Pro, for example, for a one-off payment of 599 CHF – completely eliminating any monthly rent.
Will my terminal become free of charge again if your turnover increases again later?
No, the change to the monthly rent of 25 CHF is permanent. Switching back to the free promotion model is not possible. However, you can continue to use your device flexibly or cancel it in compliance with the notice period.
I would prefer to return the device after all – what are the next steps?
If you decide against renting, simply go back to your email and click the button "Return device". You will then immediately receive all instructions and a return label for free return shipping.
