NFTs — the mega trend that nobody knows?
NFT, an abbreviation that you can hardly ignore when navigating online—especially when it comes to online trading. But we don't just mean complicated stock transactions or the like. NFTs accompany the trade of many everyday items like music albums or trading cards.

What does NFT mean?
First, a breakdown of this abbreviation itself: What does NFT actually mean? The three letters stand for non-fungible tokens, roughly translated as non-replaceable crypto asset. It is a kind of certificate of authenticity or proof of ownership for various digital works, for example, from the field of art, such as music pieces, comics, or videos. Even trading cards or images, and even tweets can be equipped with NFTs.
How do NFTs work?
Very few people know this — if you are reading this, you are now one of them. NFTs turn works into digital assets, they function like a kind of watermark and anyone can buy NFTs to make his/her art piece of any kind unique and unambiguously his/her property.
Buying and selling NFTs
Such purchases take place — much like cryptocurrencies — on digital marketplaces. There, members can buy NFTs and make their works unique, but also sell NFTs. For this, you only need membership on a trading platform and a wallet. The latter is also needed to trade with cryptocurrency and some wallets can be used for both NFTs and cryptocurrency.
Are NFTs just a hype…
NFTs are a real trend, currently on the rise, especially among online-savvy investors. Nevertheless, the 'non-replaceable crypto assets' are still a phenomenon that only a few are familiar with. Therefore, NFTs are not yet commonly used, which in turn might make trading them a bit cumbersome. At the same time, experts point out that NFTs do not have to be limited to the art sector but can also be applied to other assets.
…or an investment with a future?
Thus, the user base could continuously expand and turn the trendy trading trend into a serious investment. So, we are very curious to see where the journey of NFTs will go. We will definitely keep you updated in that regard and wish you good luck and success if you have now developed a taste for it and want to try out NFTs yourself!
