Click to Pay with Visa is a game changer when it comes to speed in the online payment process: While customers previously were often forced to enter their credit or debit card details laboriously, now a one-time registration is enough. This means the customer is automatically recognised in checkout and can simply select the stored cards and pay directly – all with just a few clicks.

A simplicity from which Payrexx's QR Pay solution will also benefit in future. Payrexx QR Pay works similarly to what Swiss people are already used to from TWINT: Simply scan the QR code with your mobile phone and pay. However, Payrexx's solution goes one step further. Instead of exclusively with an app, these QR codes can be scanned directly with the smartphone camera and a variety of payment methods can be stored. The biggest problem with this innovative solution: anyone who previously wanted to pay with a credit or debit card via Payrexx QR Pay had to type in their card details manually – a time-consuming hurdle that Payrexx is now overcoming together with Visa. Through the integration of Click to Pay, registered customers can now also pay quickly and easily with their card via QR code.

Exclusive transaction fees

To establish the improved QR Pay solution from Payrexx as well as possible among both existing and new merchants, a one-year promotion was launched together with Visa. As part of this, Payrexx lowers the transaction costs to a low 1.25 % + 0.00 CHF per payment – for all relevant Swiss payment methods! Because Payrexx QR Pay works not only with Visa, but also with Mastercard, TWINT, Apple Pay and Google Pay. In addition, a further 200 national and international payment methods can be stored, including for example PayPal, Klarna, POWERPAY or Centi.

As a small payment provider with regional roots, which itself started as a start-up and worked its way up, Payrexx especially cares about small businesses. Accordingly, the Thun-based payment provider has focused mainly on SMEs, non-profit organisations, associations and federations in recent years.
