Michael Müller is currently a partner at eQventure, Austria's largest venture capital firm for start-ups, in addition to his role as a board member at Payrexx. They offer consultancy services in the corporate and organizational development of young companies. He has profound connections to the payment industry through several advisory board mandates and investment projects in the DACH region for over 25 years.

After studying business administration, Michael Müller worked for several years at UBS in Switzerland in corporate finance. From 2000 to 2014, he was the co-founder and CEO of paysafecard in Vienna, the world's largest provider of prepaid online payments.

Michael has extensive experience in the internationalization and scaling of financial institutions and knows the international payment market inside and out. We are glad to have brought such an experienced strategist on board.

Payrexx was founded in 2015 in Thun and specializes in processing digital payment methods as a payment institution. The Swiss company operates a self-developed payment platform as a registered payment facilitator for Mastercard and VISA. Over 40,000 customers manage their transactions across Europe via the cloud-based platform. The range extends from regionally strong companies such as BKW, Swiss Youth Hostels, and Swissmilk to large corporations like SBB, Swiss Post, and Swisscom.

The platform unites over 40 payment providers and more than 200 payment methods and currencies from around the world through a single interface. Payrexx is the only provider in Switzerland offering payment methods like TWINT, PostFinance, Mastercard, VISA, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay with a single acceptance contract.

A representative online retailer survey by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) determined which payment service providers (PSP) the participating respondents use for online transactions. Based on the evaluation of responses from all Swiss retailers, it was established that 25% of all online shops choose and trust Payrexx as their PSP.
