What is new with Payrexx? The most important updates from June 2026

The June 2026 Payrexx update focuses on two core areas: a modernized design in the merchant account and noticeable improvements in usability. New features include a revised configuration view for Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus, a CSV import for the Paylink tool right at the initial start, and a password history for increased account security.

The Payrexx update of June 2026 focuses on two core areas: a modernised design in the merchant account and noticeable improvements in usability. New features include a revised configuration view for Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus, a CSV import for the Paylink tool directly at the first start, and a password history for increased account security.

This guide explains what has actually changed and how you can make the best use of the new features.

1. Revised design in the Payrexx account

The Payrexx merchant account presents itself with a new look in the June update. Buttons and tags now appear in rounded shapes and fresh colours — matching the corporate design that Payrexx introduced in 2025. The goal: a more consistent, modern appearance that makes daily work in the account more pleasant.

The change is purely visual and has no effect on features, settings, or payment processes. All familiar areas remain in the same places — only the presentation is fresher.

2. New configuration view for Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus

The configuration page for Payrexx Pay (PP) and Payrexx Pay Plus (PPP) has been fundamentally restructured. Previously, all settings were listed on one long, confusing page — active payment methods, transaction fees, GTC settings, and other parameters side by side.

Now, secondary areas such as transaction fees and GTC are hidden behind collapsible elements. What remains immediately visible: the most important settings, especially the activated payment methods. This significantly reduces the effort required for setup and customization.

For merchants who use both solutions in parallel — for example, Payrexx Pay for TWINT and PostFinance and Payrexx Pay Plus for Klarna or AMEX — the new view is particularly helpful because an overview of active methods is now possible at a single glance.

The new configuration view is available for all Payrexx plans that use Payrexx Pay or Payrexx Pay Plus.

3. CSV import for Paylinks — now available from the start

The Paylink tool by Payrexx allows you to send payment requests to customers by email — with a direct payment link, without the need for an online shop. Particularly practical: with a CSV import, email addresses, amounts, and currencies can be imported for multiple recipients at once.

Previously, however, this import option was only available after at least one Paylink had already been created. Anyone opening the tool for the first time initially saw an empty view without an import option and had to manually create an entry first.

Now, the CSV import option appears directly when opening the Paylink tool for the first time — which is exactly when merchants want to start with a larger list of recipients. This saves several manual steps and makes the start significantly more efficient.

Typical use case: An association wants to collect membership fees via Paylink and imports a CSV list with all member email addresses and the respective amounts for this purpose — directly when opening the tool for the first time.

4. Password history for more account security

With the June update, Payrexx is introducing a password history: passwords already used are stored and cannot be reused at the next password change. Anyone who changes their passwords will be prompted to set a new, previously unused password.

This measure is a standard practice on security-oriented platforms and protects against a common attack pattern: resetting to an old, possibly already compromised password. This is particularly relevant for merchants who manage multiple users in their account — Standard plan: up to 3, Premium: unlimited.

The feature takes effect automatically at the next password change. No settings are required.

Checklist: What you should check after the June update

  • Open configuration view of Payrexx Pay / Pay Plus — get to know the new structure and check whether all desired payment methods are active

  • Using the Paylink tool? For the next mass mailing, use the new CSV import option directly at the first start

  • Haven't changed your password for a long time? Good time for an update — the new password history takes effect immediately

  • Multiple users in the account? Inform everyone that old passwords can no longer be used at the next change

  • Communicate design changes if employees use the account daily — the buttons and tags look different now
