You can target international customers more effectively with Braintree in Payrexx because, in addition to Visa and Mastercard, you can also accept card systems like American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and Maestro, enabling you to activate multiple currencies (each currency with its own Merchant Account). This is especially advantageous if you regularly sell to customers from abroad or have higher cart values where these cards are used more frequently.

You typically have two cost components: firstly, the Braintree fees according to your contract, and secondly, the Payrexx transaction fee for external payment providers according to your Payrexx plan (in the PREMIUM Plan 0.25%).

First, you create a Braintree account and then start with sandbox data for testing. In Payrexx, you enter the access data and activate the desired currencies. For each currency, you need a separate merchant account in Braintree, and you enter its Merchant Account ID in Payrexx.

Braintree is a payment provider through which you can process card payments. For you as an SME, combining it with Payrexx is particularly useful if you already have a Braintree account or want to sell internationally. You use Payrexx for checkout and payment flow, and Braintree processes the payment through your own provider relationship.
