Is there a Payrexx plugin for joomdonation?
joomdonation offers a paid Payrexx payment plugin that you purchase in the provider's shop and then install in Joomla. This means that the entire donation process, including payment, runs within your Joomla website. The setup is described in the Payrexx documentation.
How do I install the Payrexx plugin in Joom Donation?
After purchasing the plugin, navigate to 'Joom Donation > Payment Plugins' in the Joomla backend and scroll to the bottom of the page. There, click on 'Install new Plugin', select the plugin file via 'Choose File' and start the installation. Payrexx will then appear in the list of available payment plugins.
Which data from Payrexx do I need for activation?
To activate, you will need your instance name and an API key from Payrexx. You can create the key in the Comerciante administration under "API and integrations" by clicking "Add API key" in the "Add API integration" section. You then enter both details in the plugin settings at joomdonation.
Does the Payrexx plugin also work with Events Booking or Membership Pro?
In addition to Joom Donation, JoomDonation develops other Joomla extensions such as Events Booking, Membership Pro, EShop and OS Services Booking, for each of which separate payment plugins are offered. It is best to check directly in the JoomDonation shop whether the Payrexx plugin is available for your specific extension.
Can I use Payrexx to process recurring donations via Joomla?
Joom Donation supports both one-off donations and recurring donations, and Payrexx offers recurring payments and subscriptions for this purpose. This allows you to collect funding contributions or memberships automatically, instead of requesting each contribution individually.

With Payrexx, all relevant payment methods are available in your donation forms with a single acceptance agreement – including TWINT, which is particularly widespread in Switzerland: Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, TWINT, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, PostFinance Card, Invoice, bank transfer, Centi, HeidiPay, WIRpay, Masterpass, Reka and Klarna. Which methods are displayed depends on which ones you have activated in your Payrexx account.
Which Payrexx package do I need for joomdonation?
Integration with JoomDonation is available in the Payrexx STANDARD and PREMIUM plans and is not included in the free plan. You can see which features are included in which plan on the pricing page.
Are there additional fees for the Payrexx plugin at joomdonation?
The payment plugin is offered by JoomDonation on a paid basis, which is why one-time or license-dependent costs are incurred by the provider. Payrexx itself does not charge any additional fees for the integration, but instead charges a commission per transaction, which can be viewed on our pricing page.
How are the donations collected via Joomla paid out?
Payrexx pays the donations received via your Joomla website directly to your deposited bank account. The payouts are made at regular intervals, with transaction fees already deducted. To find out in detail how payouts work, please refer to our documentation.
How secure is Payrexx for organisations and donors?
If you process your donations via JoomDonation and Payrexx, every transaction is secured according to the highest global security standard for payment data: Payrexx is fully PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Personal data, both yours and that of your customers, is stored in a GDPR-compliant manner. The 3-D Secure process adds an additional layer of identification to payments, thereby minimising fraud risks and chargebacks.
