Planyo

The online booking system Planyo can be connected to Payrexx, allowing guests to pay for their reservation directly during the booking process. You can charge the full amount or a deposit, and also allow bookings without payment. The setup is described in the Payrexx documentation.

First, create an API key in the Payrexx merchant administration under "API and Integrations" and then set up a webhook for Planyo under "Webhooks". After that, log in to the Planyo admin area, open "Quick setup" in the left main menu, and activate Payrexx as the payment provider in the "Online payment" section.

The webhook URL must be exactly https://www.planyo.com/payment-payrexx-ipn.php so that Payrexx can transmit the transaction notifications to Planyo. Select the "JSON" format as the webhook content type. Without a correctly configured webhook, the payment status will not be updated in Planyo.

Planyo supports both charging the full amount and partial down payments, which you define as a fraction of the reservation. This is common for holiday flats, seminar rooms or yacht charters, where a reservation fee is due upon booking and the remainder is paid on site or at a later date.

The payment function can be configured in such a way that reservations are possible either with or without prior online payment. You can therefore make payment mandatory to ensure binding bookings, or offer it as a voluntary option.

With Payrexx, all relevant payment methods are available in the booking process with a single acceptance contract – including TWINT for Swiss guests and international cards for guests from abroad: Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, TWINT, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, PostFinance Card, Invoice, bank transfer, Centi, HeidiPay, WIRpay, Masterpass, Reka and Klarna. Which methods appear depends on which ones you have activated in your Payrexx account.

Planyo is used for holiday apartments and hotels just as much as for tennis courts, parking spaces, conference rooms, car rentals, yacht charters, therapy appointments, courses, and guided tours. Bookings can be made in days, nights, hours, or minutes, which is why the system is suitable for almost any form of appointment and resource rental.

Integration with planyo is available in the Payrexx STANDARD and PREMIUM plans and is not included in the free plan. You can see which features are included in each plan on the pricing page.

Payrexx pays out the payments received via Planyo directly to your registered bank account. The payout takes place at regular intervals, with the transaction fees already deducted. You can find out in detail how payouts work in our documentation.

If you process your bookings via Planyo and Payrexx, every transaction is secured according to the highest global security standard for payment data: Payrexx is fully PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Personal data, both yours and that of your customers, is stored GDPR-compliantly. The 3-D Secure process adds an additional identification step to payments, thereby minimising fraud risks and chargebacks.
